Greg Gillis (aka Girl Talk) once again put amateurs in their place, showing the music world what it truly takes to be a top mash-up artist. The greatly anticipated fifth album, All Day, successfully released yesterday, and needless to say we love it. Despite spending 2.5 years on its creation, Gillis decided to release the album for free, subsequently pleasing loyal fans worldwide. A solid amalgamation of the old and the new, All Day (in my opinion) successfully tops prior albums Night Ripper and Feed the Animals. While others have tried (and inevitably failed) to juxtapose classic rock & roll with new world pop, Gillis' mixes flow brilliantly. Who would've ever guessed MGMT, Neil Diamond, and Wiz Khalifa would be echoing throughout his/her sound system simultaneously?
